StageBloc helps make it easy to create, manage, and maintain your own completely custom website. But you'll need a few things first...
What You'll Need
Upgraded Account
Completely custom websites integrate with the StageBloc platform through our API. In order to help offset operating costs we charge a small monthly fee, which is built into all our account plans. An account plan of at least Basic is required.
Hosting
Our API allows the StageBloc platform to power custom websites on any server. There's no need to switch from your current provider.
Domain Name
Same as hosting, you maintain total ownership over your domain name. Complete control for completely custom websites.
What You Won't Need
Database
There's no need for a database when your site is powered by StageBloc, which means hosting just got easier and more flexible (think happy, cloud thoughts).
Large Bandwidth Plan
Stop worrying about expensive bandwidth plans or overage costs. Since your site's content is provided through our API, we handle the brunt of your bandwidth load. This helps keep your bandwidth usage low and cost-effective.
A "How To..." Book
Managing your website is straight forward and simple with StageBloc; there's no need for extensive tutorials or codebooks to increase your Management Awesomeness +1.
Developer Tools
The Front-end Framework is an open-source, PHP based wrapper for the StagBloc API. Containing custom plugins, modules, and numerous pre-built components, the Framework is a "website in a box" that helps expedite development time for custom websites. It's flexible and powerful enough that our entire website is built upon it.

The StageBloc API is freedom. Freedom in how you interact with your data. Freedom from development languages. And freedom from deployment environments. It provides everything you need to quickly and securely set up a custom website powered by the StageBloc platform without having to worry about databases or data load.
Access to the API is only available to paid StageBloc accounts. An account plan of at least the Basic level is required for access to your account's API Key and Secret.
Front-end Framework
Like a PHP based API wrapper on steroids, the StageBloc Front-end Framework was created to expedite the development of completely custom, StageBloc powered websites. It interfaces with your account through our API and presents the resulting data as variables, which are easily managed and customized. It's free to use and internally supported, but not required.
Hosted StageBloc Site Theming
Open theming lets you control your theme's HTML, CSS, and JS. Customize existing themes or create your own. Then contact us to begin selling your premium theme.
